Whether it’s quality swings, sound serves, big blocks, solid first touches or timely sets, the Crusaders can rely on Demler to do it. She took a number of big rips to put balls down when the Crusaders badly needed kills. Demler has shown her leadership well helping St. Henry make it back to the 9th Region semifinals. Demler said the Crusaders realized they have what it takes to succeed and the team chemistry helped them build up confidence and overcome the rough patch late in the season.

Demler is as versatile player as there is in the 9th Region, giving the Crusaders options. Demler could set one play, then take a big swing on the next play with a talented young setter on the court at the same time. Demler also played solid defense for St. Henry. Demler finished the season with 295 kills, 465 assists, 257 digs and 37 aces, helping the Crusaders go 33-6 with another All “A” State championship and runner-up finish in the 9th Region Tournament.

Demler is a versatile player and the Crusaders are trying to take advantage of that. She sets to different places on the court and is getting in sync offensively with the young St. Henry setter. Demler can hit balls across the court. She makes things happen when she gets her swings in.

Madi Demler showed she has the tools to become an all-around solid player for St. Henry this past fall, but could fill in the setter role this year. Demler can set and smack the ball many places. Demler is also a force at the net and serving the ball. Demler is particularly solid from the left side hitting the ball down the line or to the opposite side of the court.
