Madelyn has all the makings of an athlete that can take it to the next level. She has consistent smooth passes that are accurate and are seamless to the pins that look effortless. Madelyn has excellent judgement with great foresight to think out the play and set to the best player for a successful run. She is equally as good providing a lofty serve or a fast chute and can do a no tell dump for the point. She digs well on the front row moving with great agility to get the ball into play with a clam demeanor and excellent composure! Keipert can also swing nicely with a fluid left handed attack with great ball control and placement, adding so much dimension as a setter. She provides a good block and has great timing on her transitions to and off the net. She makes smart plays and uses her pins and middles effectively never becoming predictable. She shows great enthusiasm on the court for her teammates and brings her A game! She will get where she wants to go, no doubt!

Keipert dazzles in more ways than one for the Crusaders. The lefty makes plays all over the court using her genes and athleticism. She has great precision on her sets allowing teammates to put great power into balls. Keipert made some diving saves in the loss and some solid sets kept Ryle out of rhythm at times. She is not afraid to mix in hard and soft shots when St. Henry morphs into a modified 6-2 scheme.

Keipert has made a huge impact at setter for the Crusaders since entering high school and will only continue to grow with the St. Henry coaching staff and the talent around her. Keipert executes a number of sets including back sets. Keipert just surpassed her 1000th career dig. She does a good job putting balls on target in the power zones of the hitters. Keipert worked on her defense during club season and it is paying off. Keipert anticipates balls well and uses her platform to make good two to three-point passes. Keipert does a good job forming double blocks with teammates.

Keipert is trying to turn into a sound all-around player for the Crusaders and the club team. Keipert stepped a big varsity role and helped set up the deep Crusaders with a variety of serves. Keipert is trying to improve her defense specifically in the offseason. Keipert does a great job anticipating then tracking down balls. Hard hit balls carom off her arms to setters for sound passes when she squares her arms up with them. Keipert had 491 assists and 181 digs, helping the Crusaders go 33-6 with another All “A” State championship, a 34th District crown and 9th Region runner-up finish.

Keipert played on a high-level club team and has made a smooth transition to the varsity level as a result. Keipert makes a good number of short and long sets putting the hitters in position to succeed. Keipert controls the tempo mixing in setter dumps making opponents defend different parts of the court. Keipert said setting a solid group of hitters helps contribute to the team’s success.
