Madison Bambulas Madison Bambulas 5'4" | DS/L/S Cactus | 2030 AZ has been an impressive addition to the Cactus lineup this season, making the jump from middle school volleyball to the varsity level look almost seamless. In her first high school season, she has already recorded 124 digs, establishing herself as a major presence in the back row and showing a level of composure that makes it easy to forget she was playing middle school ball just last year.

Bambulas plays with great range defensively and does an excellent job reading the court, putting herself in position to make plays and extending rallies for her team. She also covers her hitters extremely well, consistently working behind the block and staying engaged throughout the entire play. Her impact hasn’t been limited to defense either. She has already added 22 aces and 19 assists, showing just how many different ways she can contribute.

Her ability to apply pressure from the service line adds another weapon to her game, while her assist numbers highlight her comfort taking the second ball and helping Cactus stay in system when the setter has to defend. For a freshman taking on this much responsibility in the back row, Bambulas has looked incredibly comfortable.

This is only the beginning for Bambulas, and we’re looking forward to watching her continue to develop. She’s already making a significant impact for Cactus, and we expect that impact to extend well beyond her freshman season.
