About Mally

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I would describe my gameplay style as competitive and quick. I like to run different plays with my setters. And I love being positive for my teammates so they can have good energy too.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My personality is very focused and dialed in during the game. Off the court I like to hang out with my friends and build connections. And it also helps just to take my mind off the game for a little while. My mentality is always to push to the end and stay consistent as best as I can during my game and also being consistent with my mindset.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I start my mornings at school doing peer buddies and helping the special needs class. It gives me a new point of view of how some kids live their lives.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I was team captain for all three years of middle school. And this year I was elected as part of the leadership team for my school program. I have developed accountability for myself and my team. I’ve enhanced my communication skills. And I’ve also learned how to be humble but also helpful in these roles.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

During my school season I have been out with an injury in my foot. Although it has been hard to be on the sidelines I’ve tried to be a good cheerleader for my team. And my time off the court has led me to notice the things that happen on the court such as reading the other hitters or where certain spots are open on the court.

What type of college are you looking for?

The type of college I look for is a large university with many options for degrees and degrees I’m interested in. And a place to play volleyball.
