About Mariska

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My gameplay style is very fast-moving. On the court, I always stay positive and lift up my teammates because they are the ones who execute plays. Off the court, I love spending time with my teammates; they are not just teammates but some of my best friends.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality is focused, I believe serve recieve is a mindset and it has gotten me far. Having a positive mindset helps you excite positively. My personality is crazy, I love joking around and having a good time.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I play for Nebraska Juniors as a L/DS. Outside of spots, I have made the honors roll and received a character reward.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Throughout the years that I have played volleyball, I have learned leadership and listening. I learn to take in as much as I can and apply what I need. Teamwork is so important to me because without my team, I wouldn't even have a rally.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I joined a new club, and the community is so different. It is so much better for me. The community isn't somewhere I am trying to be, but somewhere I feel like I belong.

What type of college are you looking for?

I want a college where the place around it is built. I want character and support. I want to be able to grow more than I ever thought.
