My name is Marli Richardson. I was born on February 21, 2010 and I am a 14 year old freshman in high school. I was raised in Playa del Rey, California and currently live in Tarzana, California. I first started playing volleyball competitively at the beginning of my eighth grade year.
My goal is to play collegiate volleyball at a Division 1 or Division 2 University. I currently play for Actyve Volleyball Club and for Campbell Hall High School in Los Angeles. I am currently on both the indoor and beach volleyball teams.
In college, I plan to be a pin hitter and currently play the opposite position. Before playing volleyball, I played AAU basketball. I love having played basketball first. It made me more athletic, aggressive, and quick on my feet.
Other than my schoolwork, I spend the majority of my time playing volleyball. I truly enjoy playing with my teammates and learning new skills to improve my game.
April 14, I will be playing in the SCVA Girls 15U Event #4

Marli Lauren, reflecting on her time at SoFi, shared, “My thoughts about SoFi were incredible. There was so much space and there were 2 volleyball courts. My teammates and I had great time. It really felt like a once in a lifetime experience. It was definitely surreal to play there. It felt like I was playing in my first collegiate game. I’m speaking that into existence. I am very grateful I got the chance to play there. Overall it was a great experience.”
