Arkfeld was operating as a six-rotation outside hitter when I saw her during the Iowa City tournament early in the 2026 season. She’s a well-rounded volleyball player with a broad base of skills. Her ability to terminate points from the pin results from explosiveness off of the court and a good feel for hitting the defense where it’s most vulnerable. Athleticism helps her defend at the net and in the back row. For the latter, Arkfeld moves well with match flow and into positions to take on the opposing attack. She also holds up well in serve-receive. There’s plenty of room for more growth of her game, too, which should be attractive to prospective colleges.
