About Mattea

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I would say I have a dig or die mentality. I will always try to get balls up even if I don't think I can. I am also a very supportive player.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a very supportive player, I will always support my teammates and push them to do their best. I am also a very excited person. I am always cheering for my team and being really loud on and off the court.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have been on the Honor Roll every year in Middle School. I also received the Pascal Amitity Award for Middle School Volleyball.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have not done any community service. I always try to lead my teammates and friends to do the right thing. I have also gotten multiple recognitions at my club for all of the extra work I put in. (Taking lessons, picking up balls, and cleaning up any trash left behind.)

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have faced some challenges in club volleyball. My 13s club year, I asked for a chance to complete to be Libero and I was turned down. I was a little bit upset, but I was happy for own libero. I took this challenge to my advantage, I worked so hard so I could possibly be libero my 14s year. My 13s season definitely pushed me to get better at more positions.

What type of college are you looking for?

A D1 college with good volleyball and accedemic programs.
