About Mila

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Six-rotation outside hitter who brings reliable ball control, disciplined shot selection, and a calm, competitive presence. Plays with high volleyball IQ and contributes consistently in serve-receive, defense, and attack.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Calm, composed, resilient, positive and dependable. Often described by my coaches as very coachable, always embracing feedback, and team-first competitor.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Student Ambassador at Flint Hill School and Admissions Ambassador at Browne Academy, where I earned 8 years on the honor roll. Clubs: African Culture Awareness Club, FOCUS, and Breast Cancer Awareness. Awards: the Mickey Hamilton Award for leadership and character; a three-time recepient of the Bruin Sprit Award for exemplifying excellence and character. 8 years of dance and piano.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Through volleyball, school, and the arts, I’ve developed strong leadership, teamwork, and discipline. I communicate well, stay accountable to my teammates, and lead by example with consistent effort and positive energy. I’ve also learned time management, resilience, and how to take feedback and apply it quickly.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Adjusting to higher and higher levels of competition (from joining high school varsity at age 13 to joining a very competitive club) is a good challenge to face, and it has helped me develop resilience, confidence, and a strong work ethic. These opportunities challenged me to always raise my physical and mental game.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college with strong academics and a competitive volleyball program where I can continue to develop as a player. I value a supportive team culture, strong coaching, and an environment that challenges me both academically and athletically.
