About Caroline
Expert Analysis
Bob Abels | Prep Dig Scout
She received her first invite to the National Team Development Program (NTDP) at the end of last year. Her 6’3″ height impresses but if you compare her game this year to what she showed last year there exists major improvement.
Many with her height usually take some time to assimilate with their growth. Their movements are normally slow while also lacking athletic ability. That is not the case with Caroline. She reaches 10 feet with her approach jump while showing fluid movement on the court. Last summer she actually earned a bid to the USAV beach nationals. Perhaps that can explain the improvement in her game.
Metro will play Open in the Junior Nationals this year. Caroline jumped from # 14 to # 7 in the class of 2029 rankings.

Caroline also plays middle for Metro 15. She stands 6’3″ with a 10’0″ approach jump. This year she received her first invite to the NTDP as well as the Next Under Armor in Louisville. She is becoming quite popular on the showcase circuits.
She plays for Walt Whitman, which does not record stats. This past season they lost to Churchill in the regional finals. Churchill would go on to defeat two time defending champion Richard Montgomery but later losing to eventual champions Broadneck in the state semi-finals.
Comparing her game from last year to this year she has greatly improved. For taller players it can take time as your body lengthens to get control of your game. Caroline seems to have control of her game allowing her to hit the ball with greater velocity than last year. Her blocking is also intimidating to the outsides.

has improved her game immensely from last year. The 6’3″ middle hits the ball harder and moves quicker with her blocking assignments than she did last year. Her approach jump reaches 10 feet and her timing for the quicks is very consistent.
This past summer she received an invite to her first National Team Player Development (NTPD) camp to work with others representing the United States junior national team. Getting that kind of coaching in and of itself can help in the development of her game.
Caroline plays middle for this Metro 15 travel super team mentioned above. They recently won their first Qualifier, the Sunshine Classic, defeating two clubs who finished second and third in the Triple Crown to win the event. Her middle offensive presence is a key factor in allowing the pin hitters to power down with only one block to stop them. If they ignore Caroline in the middle, she makes them pay a stiffer price.
