Minor is an outstanding leader on the court using her six years of varsity experience to teach the less experienced players ways to succeed on the varsity level. Minor has great ball placement on the court. She knows when to go full blast with her form and when to let up and send soft touches to the 10-foot line. Minor said the returning players reference the comeback win over West Jessamine in the first round of state last year, knowing they can come back when needed.

Minor normally takes a number of swings for Scott. However, this 17 Blue TSE team is loaded up front that the two-time 10th Region Player of the Year mostly plays defense. She makes a number of sound passes for the team. That will help her improve defensively going into her senior season at Scott.

Minor (pictured) came into the game determined and focuses and proceeded to play like it. Minor consistently found ways around the Colt hitters putting balls to the ground. When the Colts made adjustments on her, Minor calmly found other ways to get the job done. Minor landed some big aces and blocks, helping out the Scott defense. Minor finished the game smacking down an overpassed serve. Minor said the teams were evenly matched and the Colts made them take different shots. Minor added that the 3-2 games they’ve been involved in gave them endurance for games like this.
