We had to get KC Power involved, especially after the club’s 17-2 lineup logged a fourth-place finish at last month’s Show Me Qualifier. Rome anchored the effort through her uncanny ability to find the hot hand and mix up tempos. She thrives when setting three-hitter rotations out of the back row, which also allows Rome’s right-back defense to shine. But Rome also provides ample athleticism to run a 5-1 and square up with terminal left-side hitters. The setter spot has been prominent in this feature, and Rome’s excellence adds to the movement.
