I’ve been fortunate enough to cross paths with Power ‘] 16-1 multiple times throughout the 2026 campaign, including an early-season visit to Premier Nebraska. Duson has been an eye-catching athlete at every stop on the journey. This multi-talented athlete channels her explosiveness to become a game-changer on the right side. Her straight-down blocks have been awe-inspiring, but Duson has also upgraded her role in the KC Power offense. The Show Me Qualifier brought the best out of this emerging 2028 from Blue Valley North.

Duson is ranked No. 51 overall in the Kansas Class of 2028. She finished her sophomore season with 185 kills for the Mustangs. It’s been quite some time since I have seen Duson compete. She will be suiting up for KC Power ‘s 16-1 squad. Duson and the Power will open the tournament in Pool D by playing Electric Volleyball at 8:00 a.m. If I get to scout a Power match, it will more than likely be its second match of the day against MAVS KC 16-2, scheduled for the 9:50 a.m. slot.

Whether it is John, Jackie, or Bobby, the name Kennedy still resonates across the land. I think I would be crushed under the pressure of that being my first name, but not Duson. She just crushes volleyball like someone just told her Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone. Duson is coming off an excellent club season and will be chomping at the bit to get back on a court after the July Moratorium. She is ranked No. 34 overall in the Kansas Class of 2028.

While I was in St. Louis watching Michael Busch and Nico Hoerner drive balls out of Busch Stadium for the Chicago Cubs, Duson was in Dallas driving balls down the line at USA Nationals. If volleyball does not work out for Duson, she should consider being a professional carpenter because she knows how to swing a hammer. Duson is ranked No. 34 overall in the Kansas Class of 2028. She will be heading into her sophomore season for the Blue Valley North Mustangs.

Duson played front row only for the Power and recorded three kills and one dig in the early morning victory. She is a jumper who has improved her approach since I saw her last year during club season. Her skills will continue to improve as she sees more action at the high school and club scene.
