That’s not a vague personality trait. It’s a repeatable in-game habit, and it showed up exactly when she needed it.

Late in a tight Day 4 AAU match, tied at a tense score, Natalie described demanding the ball from her setter and trusting her own preparation to finish the point. She didn’t get the set and hope for the best but she asked for it. That’s a subtle but meaningful distinction for a middle blocker who wants to be a go-to weapon rather than a situational one.

Her focus this summer is squarely physical: increasing her vertical and sharpening her closing speed at the block, while training with her high school team at Chaminade to build chemistry against older competition. Off the court, she’s involved in Black Student Union and Diversity Leadership at her school, and she describes leadership as setting a standard through action rather than volume, a philosophy that lines up with how she plays.
