Outside hitters don’t need to light up the kill column to have a massive impact. Granted, Allen flashed plenty of progress during her trips across the Olathe West frontcourt. But her biggest statistical contribution came in the back row, where Allen averaged three digs per set and had a steady presence in the passing pattern. Her role is due to expand in Year 2 after thriving in the Open gauntlet with KC Power 15-1.

Allen was a back-row bandit for the Owls last season. During her freshman campaign, she registered 293 digs and 373 serve receptions. She has been ranked by Prep Dig since the first Class of 2029 rankings were created last spring. She is ranked No. 15 overall. She has a nice swing, can jump, and could improve as an attacker by improving her strength. She has a smooth approach and educated feet.

The third athlete on this list who will be playing this week at a State Tournament is the Owls’ Allen. She is the first real defensive wizard on the Top 10, moving up to No. 7 after being previously ranked No. 12 overall. She has recorded 238 digs and 335 serve receptions in 86 sets played. She is second on the team in aces with 44. Olathe West is the No. 6 Seed in Salina on Friday with a record of 26-7.
