spent the back half of her club season playing up with older teammates, a challenge her coaches used to push her into a leadership role even without a formal title. That experience is exactly what she expects to carry into her sophomore season, since she’ll again be competing against girls one to two years older. A multi-sport athlete, she describes herself as relentless and says she’s working on being kinder to herself in the moment, building a mental reset between plays so one mistake doesn’t compound into more. She missed last year’s PrepDig NorCal Freshman event due to a conflict with club softball, which made this showcase feel like a make-up opportunity heading into what she calls her biggest recruiting year yet. Her recruiting effort this summer has been active, with camps at Pepperdine, Stanford, Boston College, and two at Cal Poly. She’s always been the loudest player on her teams, in softball and volleyball alike, and she’s leaning into that as her calling card.

is staying with Encore, but not in the same place she left off. She’s moving up to the 17-1s, Encore 17 Navy, and she’s clear about why: a faster game against stronger competition is exactly the kind of pressure she wants on her development right now.
There’s continuity built into the challenge too. Some of her new teammates are athletes she already competed alongside last season at AAUs in Orlando, so the jump up isn’t into the unknown, it’s into a harder version of chemistry she’s already built. She’s also specific about the coaching piece, pointing to a staff with D1 playing experience as something she’s genuinely looking forward to learning from, not just a credential she’s listing.

‘s background in softball shows up in her volleyball game in a way she’s clearly aware of. Her last two steps into a swing and her quick arm action are things she credits directly to eight years on a diamond. That cross-sport foot speed is part of why she believes coaches notice her first. But her moment at AAUs wasn’t about speed. It was about patience: getting dug repeatedly in a long rally, staying in the point instead of forcing something, and finally scoring with a block rather than a kill.
That willingness to win a rally in whatever way it presents itself, rather than needing the highlight swing, is a mark of a hitter who reads the court rather than just attacking it.
Olivia’s offseason includes college camps and consistent strength work, but her off-court résumé is just as active. She volunteers with the Lemo Foundation, works camps as a counselor, sits on her school’s student leadership council, and recently completed a STEAM-focused motorsports and design camp built specifically for girls.

is showing growth in how she reads attackers at the net, recognizing tendencies and adjusting her block positioning to take away key scoring angles. That anticipation is allowing her to create stops that shift momentum.
I figured the hitter was going to hit line… and I ended up being right.
She also contributes through communication, helping her team stay composed and focused during key stretches.
Her continued work on expanding her offensive range, especially with sharper cross-court swings, is adding another dimension to her game.
