Very quick and technical, she was extremely consistent on the back row for her team. Hertel was very reliable in serve-receive and produced many transition plays for her team, sliding from behind the block on the last second to get to the ball and showing excellent technique to control hard-driven swings. The libero was very accurate with her transition sets, either using her hands or her arms, and also had some nice serving runs.
