About Paige

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

A game where everyone is involved and competes together. Teammates get hyped up and support each other in intense matches. Overall, everyone is supporting each other and not caring about mistakes.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am always hyped up and being goofy in every match, but I also have a sense of urgency when playing. I support my teammates through every match, whether they're having a rough game or not. I'm always there to support and reassure them through everything. I also try to have some sort of bond with my teammates outside of the sport as well.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved in the Service Club, and I have also helped out with our school's special ed program. I have received an award for being on the honor roll with a 3.5+ GPA.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed more of a leadership role this past Junior year with both volleyball and soccer being an upperclassman. I have learned to work together with different ages with both sports, which has helped to welcome underclassmen so they feel more comfortable expressing themselves, and feel more welcomed into a sport. I am also a big fan of community service in the area where I live.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Some challenges I have faced in the past were the pressure of making mistakes. Over time, I had to learn that volleyball is a game full of mistakes, and one mistake doesn't define you as a player. Yes, I can have bad days, but it doesn't mean I am a bad player. I had to change my mental game significantly to be able to move on from mistakes and grow as a player.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college with a good volleyball program and family, but also a college that has a good education program for my field of study. I also prefer smaller schools and class sizes. I also try and focus on a college that will help guide me into a career after college. Overall, a school with good culture and ethics.
