Do not let that 5’9″ height fool you. She has some long limbs that can reach far over the net. When she jumps she can also fly over the net, reaching 10’2″ with her approach jump. She plays with Gabriella Vizek Gabriella Vizek 6'0" | MB Riverside | 2026 State VA on the Metro 18 team this year.
As a frosh she led Urbana to a Class 4 state championship. This year they reached the finals before losing to Broadneck.
Last year Simone also played middle for Metro when they finished third in the Junior National Open Division. This year she plays for the 18 team that has qualified for Open. Last year the strength was the pins. This year the strength is in the middles.
Simone has committed to George Washington.

At 5’9″ you would think she would be too small to play middle. That might be true for most players, but when you watch Simone jump it makes you think otherwise. Her approach jump lists at 10’2″. At the tournament she flew high over the net creating excellent timing for her quick tempo sets. She also did not show problems reaching the pins for blocking. She sacrifices height for quickness.
Somebody else must have been watching as well. Shortly after the tournament Simone announced her commitment to George Washington. She will be joining teammate

Last year she played for Metro’s regional team. While she stands just 5’9″ her vertical and timing for the middle allows her to complete a number of blocks against the much taller competition. Metro travel chose to add her to the roster despite having a trio of middles who can play the position. Simone plays for power house Urbana where she led the team in kills while compiling a hitting percentage of .356. She also led the team in blocks. For Metro playing time could be a challenge. She brings to the court the athleticism to play outside but Metro carries five pin hitters already. Simone ranks number 46 in our class of 2026, but she was one of our biggest climbers from the last rankings, climbing from 92 to 46..
