Another 2030 that caught my eye at the showcase, Stella is an incoming freshman at Mount Vernon who will look to make an impact this season. Stella displayed good pace, putting her teammates in good positions. She displays above average anticipation and spreads the ball around all over the court. An intelligent player, Stella will only get better as her high school career progresses. She’s one to keep an eye on in the 2030 class.

Cougill was very competitive and locked in throughout the showcase. She delivers clean, hittable balls to her attackers and isn’t afraid to move the ball around. She read the court well, picked up the defense, and went to work right away on the court. She did an especially nice job adjusting to different lineups and to the various hitters that we had constantly rotating in and out. She stayed focused and composed the entire time especially when things got chaotic. Cougill is a setter we definitely can’t wait to see more of.
