Another standout from Mount Vernon, Sophie enjoyed a strong freshman campaign for a good Marauders squad in 2025. Sophie is another very intelligent player with an exceptional ability to adjust on the fly. An athletic player who plays well on her feet, Sophie is strong at the net as well. Good pace and awareness allow her to spread the ball around the court and make her teammates better. Sophie looks to be a strong performer for Mount Vernon this fall.

If she has earned any Prep Dig ranking in that competitive pool, it means she has been distinguishing herself in a market that takes setting seriously. Her height is the obvious conversation starter, but the real evaluation on June 24th is how she uses it. Does she release at the top of her range consistently? Does her length create genuine deception that makes hitters’ jobs easier? And when the system is built around athletes she has not played with before, does her setting location hold up under the pace and pressure the showcase will bring? Those answers will tell college staffs where she fits in the longer-term conversation. I know I will keep my eyes glued to her court during both the position specific drills and the competitive scrimmage drills and you should as well. 

Smooth as silk and uber athletic, Sophie has wonderful hands, location that’s nearly impeccable, and defends her position at an above-average level. While most 1s-level setters try to add a little flash and flare to their game, Miss Rahmany is as steady as she goes, and does her job with reliability and consistency. Big enough to run a 5-1 and quick enough to get to pretty much every type of pass, Sophie hovers under the radar doing a brilliant job at TI.
