The springy nature with which Cailin plays is infectious. She’s seeming always ready to hit, is active at the net and has fast feet to get her exactly where she needs to be in a hurry. I’d like to see a bit more leg drive and vertical in her jump, but for now, her M2 abilities are all there, with the potential of adding a bunch of athleticism as the training continues.

With length and springs, Miss Coon can play either middle position, and might be an even better M1 because of her ability to attack off of one foot. Her high-and-hard tendencies when attacking are refined and aggressive, while her blocking presses well across the net to cut down the angles opponents have to choose from.

Already accustomed to high-end play from TI’s 14-1 squad a season ago, Cailin is yet another long, lean and quick middle that uses all of her 5’11” frame to her advantage. She can beat bigger middles with her footwork and speed, and dominates smaller middles with her reach. I haven’t seen too much of this young lady either, so I’m looking forward to how she plays against both categories—-and older middles as well.
