Schomaker did a great job stepping forward to become the main offensive threat for the Bluebirds this past fall. Schomaker could rise up above the net from her strong left side and pound balls to the ground against sound defenders in the back row. She sent them down the line if open and off blockers when needed. Shoemaker had 490 kills, 56 assisted blocks and 18 solo blocks this past season, helping Highlands go 29-10, win the Halloween Smash at Lafayette, win an eighth straight 36th District crown and win a 9th Region quarterfinal game for the first time in five seasons.
