Taryn set a 5/1 for Wootton. She carried them to the Maryland Class 3 State finals where they eventually lost to North Hagerstown. She was team captain while also earning first team all county.

This is her second season setting for Metro. The team carries two other quality setters so she shares setting time with Charis Burge Charis Burge 5'10" | S Urbana | 2026 State VA (Syracuse) and Claire Mo Claire Mo 5'9" | S Langley | 2026 State VA (Columbia). With all the quality pin hitters on Metro she sets a 6/2. A quality setter definitely worth a look.

Metro will be playing this weekend in the Northeast Qualifier in Philadelphia.

Taryn sets a 5/1 for Wootten. They earned a spot in the finals by defeating the previously undefeated Howard. It has been since 1989 when they last won a state championship. That was the last year of a seven year run for Wootten. They were also playing in class 4A.

Taryn runs a 5/1 well. She moves quick on the court and has good hands. Her sets also include all areas of the court. Against Howard she was setting bic sets to Haile Ma Haile Ma 5'11" | OH Wootton | 2027 State VA and slides to middle Kirsten Sinkler.

Last year Taryn earned a first team placement on the All Mongomery County team. She also won a spot with Metro as one of their setters.
