Waunakee is going to be in the hunt come the postseason.  They play a rugged schedule and are battle tested.  They also have the top senior in the state in Lauren Sprague Lauren Sprague Lauren Sprague 5'9" | OH/DS/L Waunakee | 2027 State WI who is heading to Notre Dame. A sophomore to have on the radar is Whitney Williams out of the middle.  She has 71 kills on the season hitting .323 and has 48 total blocks.  This could be a key weekend for the Warriors to have some “statement” wins that could move them up the ranks in D1.

There is a lot of promise in the game of Whitney Williams.  The 2029 middle blocker has length and athleticism, but I was really impressed with her motor she played with.  She approaches hard and wants the ball set to her.   She is going to have an exciting 2026 season for Madtown 15 National.
