Waterloo was one match short of the state tournament last year and they have a real shot of advancing further in 2026.  They have a strong core of returners back after finishing 24-10 in 2025.  Lilli Lauersdorf Lilli Lauersdorf 5'9" | OH/DS/L Waterloo | 2029 WI was one of the top freshmen kill scorers in the state.  Emma Crave Emma Crave 5'8" | S/RS Waterloo | 2029 WI did a little bit of everything for the Pirates.  She collected over 500 assists, 236 digs, and 110 kills. Her dynamic skill set allows her to make plenty of positive touches for her side of the net.  

Emma Crave stands out for her ability to orchestrate the offense with purpose. She plays with a high volleyball IQ, consistently making decisions that reflect situational awareness and game flow. Crave does an excellent job establishing rhythm with her pins, delivering consistent tempo balls that allow hitters to operate in system and with confidence.

Her distribution is intentional—she doesn’t rely on one option, but instead builds her offense through thoughtful sequencing. Emma is particularly effective at manipulating the block through location, setting hitters into space rather than into pressure. In extended rallies, she maintains composure and continues to make clean, efficient decisions. Emma was an all-out gamer for Waterloo in her freshman season. She led the team in assists and digs and was among the top servers. She was gritty, focused, and always ready for what came next. Emma’s gritty defense kept balls alive, and her huge hustle and effort were key to her team’s success. She will be playing for Madtown 15-1 National this season and is sure to have an immediate impact.
