– Mayer Lutheran | 5’9 | L| Prep Dig #70
The Crusaders’ leader in total digs for the 2019 season, Chmielewski has helped catapult her team to the #1 ranking in class A and a heavy favorite to get back to the state tournament with great odds of claiming the title. At 5’9 she brings good length and range to the libero position. Combined with her great angles, reactions, and pursuits, she often puts the ball in a great location so the Crusaders setters can distribute a balanced offense. This is critical given the heavy arsenal of arms the Crusaders have throughout their rotation, which makes them one of the toughest teams to defend and score upon with the defensive effort and leadership that Chimelewski provides patrolling the back row.
Bailey Olson

Willmar | 2021

MN
– Willmar | 5’10 | OH | Prep Dig #78
Olson has been the best and most consistent offensive weapon for the Cardinals this 2019 season. As a multi-sport athlete she is mobile and strong. She has good footwork to get to the ball that allows her to capitalize on her athleticism and arm strength to terminate at a hight rate. She also can do damage at the service line while contributing to the defensive effort as she is among the team leaders in digs. Whether or not volleyball is part of Olson’s future at the next level, she displays a lot of skills that would transition well to the college game.
Bryn Hoekman

MCC | 2021
State
MN
– Murray County Central | 6’1 | MH/RS | Prep Dig #83
Hoekman has the ability to really bring it in the middle. She approaches the ball well, with good balance and quickness, yet it is in her arm speed that makes her very difficult to defend as the ball can get on you very fast. She can also be effective on the pins through a higher and slower tempo ball but seemingly is more successful and more comfortable in the middle. Good vision and pursuit of the ball defensively allow her to get up in front of attackers with good pressure. She has great club experience behind her as well as a member of a deeply talented SWMNVB 17-1 team this past club season..
Anna Rolley

Rolley

Shakopee | 2021
State
MN
– Shakopee | 6’2 | MH | Prep Dig #97
Rolley has been a steady contributor for the Sabers, which includes eight kills in their quick work versus #4 ranked Lakeville North earlier this week. The 3-0 victory by the #7 ranked Sabers was somewhat of a surprise, not because of the victory, but more due to the timely fashion in which they closed out the match. Further, this result may be more of an indication of the growing contributions they are getting around the floor from Rolley and others. At 6’2, Rolley is reliable and versatile in that she can terminate from either pin if needed. She is effective with her location and also displays good savvy in pulling out the off-speed shots that both score and keep defenses off balance. She also can be an imposing force defensively at the net, which helps expand her role and value to the Sabers’ effort.
