2026’s: Super Star Freshman Vol. 3

<p>Alright, freshman, your class is so strong we had to bring in a volume 3! We have a lot of setters on this list and did our best to cover as many athletes as we saw either in person or through word of mouth or self-promotion. This time we had to expand our list to include 12 athletes. 2026's you all will do great things and are just getting started!</p>   <h3>[player_tooltip player_id='268779' first='Zora' last='Bello'] - Cy Ranch</h3>   <p>First up is setter [player_tooltip player_id='268779' first='Zora' last='Bello'] from Cy Ranch High School. She is a part of that elite squad and is making moves to help secure their post-season success. Zora is tall, athletic, quick, and long. She uses her length to her advantage and has a beautiful jump set. She is also a decent blocker and hitter as well. She's got a sharp snap and follows through with her swing. If you want to see more, check out her <strong><a href="https://x.com/Zora_Bello/status/1576602724598435840?s=20&t=LW9Un-8_5mvv85xA47I4ww">highlights</a>.</strong></p>   <h3>[player_tooltip player_id='254134' first='Carly' last='Thomas'] - Kingwood</h3>   <p>[player_tooltip player_id='254134' first='Carly' last='Thomas'] is a setter out of Kingwood, Texas. She has very soft hands, but a very fast release. She likes to run a fast tempo at every position and has a knack for connecting with any hitter. She has improved her 6 rotation game a lot over the last year with blocking and attacking. She has several very good setter dumps she likes to use as well that are very effective. Make sure to check out more of Carly's highlights <a href="http://www.hudl.com/video/3/13546064/62b68f5a9a9c1f0388e3dc57"><strong>here</strong></a>.</p>   <h3>Tori Leggerio - Klein Oak</h3>   <p>Klein Oak is hosting a freshman in the middle position this year with Tori Leggerio. Tori won the spot over after filling a need for her team. One thing about watching Tori play is that she works hard in the middle, communicates with her setters, is fast in transition, and tries to get in the offense when she can. Middle is a tough job for anyone at the 6A level, and Tori is fitting in just fine.</p>   <h3>[player_tooltip player_id='305666' first='Katelyn' last='Vo'] - Plano West</h3>   <p>[player_tooltip player_id='305666' first='Katelyn' last='Vo'] had a breakout game for Plano West recently with 15 digs in their big win over Coppell. She is a great middle-back defensive specialist who does a great job of reading her blockers. She plays for Mad Frogs volleyball club out of Plano and is used to playing at a high level. She has some great <a href="http://www.hudl.com/v/2JQaLA"><strong>highlights </strong></a>you should take a look at!</p>   <h3>[player_tooltip player_id='254073' first='Avery' last='Koonsen'] - Pearland</h3>   <p>[player_tooltip player_id='254073' first='Avery' last='Koonsen'] is a pin hitter for Pearland High School. When first watching Avery play, you wouldn't think that she can hit as hard as she does. She also has great verticle and presses and blocks very well. She is doing a big job running 6 rotations for Pearland, doing it all from serve receiving and playing defense. Avery is a solid all-around player that Pearland needed this season, and she looks like she will grow into her role quite well.</p>   <h3>[player_tooltip player_id='235563' first='Brooklyn' last='Rincon'] - Mary Carroll High School </h3>   <p>[player_tooltip player_id='235563' first='Brooklyn' last='Rincon'] is a freshman pin hitter out of the Corpus Christi area. She plays for CC Storm during club season as well. If you are looking for a heavy-hitting freshman, look no further. Brooklyn has a strong whip on the ball that often catches the other team off guard. Her speed and footwork may need to develop but offensively, she can absolutely put the ball away. Check out some of her freshman <a href="https://youtu.be/xpT6UxWkOsw"><strong>highlights</strong></a>.</p>   <h3>Avery Polak - Needville</h3>   <p>Coaches are talking about the 4A freshman pin hitter Avery Polak. She jumped right in this year for Needville and is hammering away at the ball. As the season has progressed she has only gotten better. She is leading the district in hitting percentage and in kills. She is an aggressive player offensively and has a lot of potential. </p>   <h3>[player_tooltip player_id='232845' first='Shaniya' last='Harris'] - Fulshear</h3>   <p>[player_tooltip player_id='232845' first='Shaniya' last='Harris'] is an agile pin hitter for Fulshear High School. Fulshear has a history of producing some heavy hitters and Shaniya is no exception. She is a high-flying hitter who can put the ball away from any position. She plays for a really solid [program_tooltip program_id='431166' first='Houston' last='Juniors'] team and has excelled there as well. Fulshear has a bright future with Shaniya in the program. Check out a quick highlight <a href="https://x.com/ShaniyaHarris07/status/1577821771549622272?s=20&t=c2Vg3Duw2pYzEEqs4DWzdg"><strong>here</strong></a>.</p>   <h3><a href="https://www.maxpreps.com/athlete/jaylyn-tuiasosopo/Yi8_mBUFEe2A0wqb9tl3hA/default.htm">J</a>aylyn Tuiasosopo - O'Connor</h3>   <p>[player_tooltip player_id='318145' first='Jaylyn' last='Tuiasosopo'] is one of the top freshman scorers in Region 4. She is in a very good O'Connor program and is gaining valuable playtime and experience now. She was able to work in 22 blocks and 107 kills so far this season. Jaylyn has a high volleyball IQ and a go-get-it attitude probably from her experience at Alamo Volleyball Club. Check out some of her big swings .</p>   <h3>[player_tooltip player_id='224002' first='Cayleigh' last='Cervenka'] - La Vernia</h3>   <p>La Vernia is in the top 10 in the state right now for 4A, and for good reason. Cayleigh leads her district in kills with 244. If you have ever seen her play, she plays with a lot of intensity and passion and that goes a long way. At 5'11 she has a high contact point that makes for a good solid swing. She is another product of the Alamo Volleyball Club. Check out some of her <strong></strong> here.</p>   <h3>[player_tooltip player_id='203942' first='Aleena' last='Zuniga'] - Pioneer</h3>   <p>[player_tooltip player_id='203942' first='Aleena' last='Zuniga'] is a dual-threat setter and right-side hitter from Sharyland Pioneer High School. She plays for Valley Venom, a high-intensity program out of South Texas. She's got a heavy arm swing, a great contact point, and fast follow-through. Her setting IQ for a freshman is outstanding and she has no problem running a variety of sets. Check out this <a href="https://x.com/aleenaz_vball/status/1578216472223940608?s=20&t=c2Vg3Duw2pYzEEqs4DWzdg"><strong>heavy swing</strong></a>.</p>   <h3>[player_tooltip player_id='235512' first='Hailey' last='Lotspeich'] - Grand Oaks</h3>   <p>[player_tooltip player_id='235512' first='Hailey' last='Lotspeich'] is an outside hitter/defensive specialist combo from Grand Oaks. At only 5'7, Hailey can really make the most use of her height and verticle at the net and has excellent elevation. She also has one of the fastest reaction times I have seen on defense and has made some amazing defensive saves. She also has a really tough deep float serve as well.
