Lexi Shondell Lexi Shondell 5'8" | S McCutcheon | 2026 State IN , 5-8, McCutcheon, Boiler Juniors
Yes, you read that correctly. Lexi’s older sister, Allie, has already committed to Purdue. Lexi, however, is a little bit different. Faster on her feet and already running a fast offense, the younger Shondell might have an even higher ceiling. She already owns an AAU national championship from 14 Open last summer, and should be running the show for (mostly) the same roster this year in 15 Open. I’m looking forward to seeing what she, and her squad, can do for an encore.
Keira Dommer Keira Dommer 5'8" | S Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran | 2026 State IN , 5-10, Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran, Summit
In short, Keira can set any tempo ball from any location at any time. Her footwork is disciplined, her hands are high and strong, and can easily run a 5-1 at the next level. Miss Dommer has definitely proved enough to the coaches at Summit—you can find her on the 17 Blue Elite roster.
Kenlee Barnard Kenlee Barnard 6'1" | S Evansville North | 2026 State IN , 6-1, Evansville North, Circle City
I had to check and double check that Kenlee, a Husky from Evansville North, would be driving the 2+ hours to club practice. Sure enough, you can find this long and lean athlete on 15 Purple (15-1). That should tell you all you need to know about the dedication and discipline Miss Barnard shows that go well beyond her years. Of the five on this list, she does the most with out-of-system balls and makes seemingly everything hittable.
Maddie Carnes Maddie Carnes 5'11" | S Springs Valley | 2026 State IN , 5-11, Springs Valley, Union
Starting setter AND attacker in her freshman year? Check. All-Conference in her first high school season? Check. A Jill-of-all-trades, Maddie can run a 5-1, set in a 6-2, set AND attack in a modified 6-2, or just attack as needed. I’ll list her as a setter, since that seems to be where her talents are leaning right now. However, do not be surprised if, at this time next year, she’s seen as much more.
Reese Blanchard Reese Blanchard 5'10" | S Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory | 2026 State IN , 5-9, Brebeuf, Academy
With two seniors in front of her on the high school roster, there wasn’t enough opportunity for Reese to run the show at Brebeuf. Fast forward to today, and you can find her on the Venom (15-1) roster at Academy as the only setter listed. I like her footwork, her willingness to work, and her athleticism. Let’s see how all of that gets put together for this spring, as there are big things expected from this squad.
