Club Team Spotlight: OJVA 16-1 Gold

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The OJVA 16-1 Gold team has bounced back impressively after a tough start at the first Open Tournament. The group was able to go 3-2 at the second Open Tournament, losing only to a talented Webfoot 18-1 team twice. Because of this, they moved up to #16 in the region. While quite a few of the athletes from last season's OJVA 15-1 Gold made the team, they also pulled from last season's 16-2 Blue team and secured some talented newbies to the club. An impressive setter, she is coming off a fantastic high school season with Jesuit where she spent most of that season running a 5-1. Her play helped the team advance to the 6A State finals. This club season, playing opposite [player_tooltip player_id='161158' first='Kamden' last='Mitchell'], it is assumed the duo will run a 6-2. She has impeccable decision-making skills and confidently runs the court with ease. On defense she is smart and speedy. Also, Jung brings a calm and positive demeanor to the court. Defensively, Longaker is quick and does an impressive job reading the attack. She has a fast approach, a high reach, and a quick arm, so she proves terminal from anywhere on the court. She executes the offense with soft hands and a quick release. As an attacker, she is smart and powerful. Her competitive sand experience translates well for this. She makes for an impressive middle blocker, reading and moving fast to shut down opponents. On the pin, Parker is explosive and smart.
