Emma Adams | Prep Dig Scout
According to the PrepDig Oregon rankings, Carle is the #12 overall recruit and has held steady in the top-15 since her freshman year. She is a versatile setter/passer duo, which makes her a commanding presence across the backcourt. Her ball control and defensive capabilities truly set her apart. When setting, she is a formidable presence out of right back; it is rare a ball hits the floor anywhere near her.
Carle recently committed to play for Washington State University.

Carle took on a totally different role than previous tournaments and stepped up big time as the libero for OJVA 16-1 team. With injuries and illness, the team only had seven athletes able to play. They looked to Carle for steady serve receive and relentless pursuits on defense. As just a sophomore, Carle is one to watch over the next couple of seasons. She started the day off by serving several balls in a row during a warm-up game, showing how consistent and tough her serve is. Throughout setting drills, Carle placed the majority of her sets well. Her hustle and ability to adjust to her hitters, though, were what made Carle really stand out on Sunday. Not only was she running all over the court to put up some great sets, but Carle was also making sure to properly adjust her set placement to each of the different hitters she encountered, showing how adaptable she is as a setter.
