Yesterday, we featured 20 new names that have appeared on our latest 2025 rankings update. But, in the true spirit of this major refresh, that was only half of the additions to our list of 2025s to follow. We need a Part 2.
Let’s break down yet another large group of players who are new to Nebraska’s Class of 2025 rankings.
Jurevicius isn’t just a new addition to our Nebraska rankings. She’s a new addition to Nebraska itself. With older sister Caroline newly enrolled at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln to play volleyball, Ava is also making the move from Cleveland, Ohio, to the Heartland. Her debut on the Nebraska scene is coming with VCNebraska 16 Elite, where Jurevicius’s wide array of skills is not limited to a single position or role. She’ll fit in nicely.
Freel crosses the river to Iowa for club competition, but her presence in Plattsmouth for prep competition puts her in our Nebraska database. Her length and reach will be a nice asset for Attack IA this season, and we can’t wait to follow yet another small-town middle blocker gem. The Cornhusker State has had a lot of those.
Highlights
While we’re on the topic of small-town middle blockers, here’s another one. Glodowski hails from David City and makes the trip to Lincoln to represent VCNebraska, a club that is absolutely thriving on additions from outside the capital.
Nebraska ONE 16 Black has already been a subject of discussion on this feature series, so let’s keep that going. The Norris-Nebraska ONE pipeline is producing some great results lately, and Griffin is a prime example of that powerful combo. She has all the ball control skills and savvy attacking prowess you’d expect from someone representing these two programs.
Harding has the kind of well-rounded game that makes her a major asset in the Nebraska ONE gym. She brings so much high-level experience as a left-side hitter who is more than willing to lock down the middle-back area in backcourt serve receive. This is the kind of player that teams are built around.
Highlights
Another LSW product gets on the board here, but we’re going from Nebraska ONE to VCNebraska. Hathaway has the length and elevation to make a big splash in the frontcourt, and she does most of her damage from the left pin. VCN 16 Black is giving us a glimpse of the prep future in the Star City.
Jasa is not the only Millard West defensive specialist we’ll discuss on this feature. Her impact with Premier Nebraska in early 2023 has been notable, especially given that she’s playing up with the club’s 17 Silver squad. No one will question whether Jasa fits in with this special group.
Omaha Marian has seen a few shoutouts lately, so it’s only fair that we put one more on the board. Kafka has been locking down the frontcourt for Nebraska Elite 16 Koa, both as a terminal attacker and a shutdown blocker.
Highlights
Did we mention that the Norris-Nebraska ONE pipeline has been effective? McMillan’s adaptability at either pin position has been impressive, but that versatility is also to be expected from Nebraska ONE’s group of athletes.
Small-town Nebraska gets on the board again with a middle blocker from Freeman High School. Otto’s lateral quickness has offered a big boost to 16 Lime’s net presence, and the team has had a cohesive start despite all the representatives from different high schools.
16 Lime is at it again. Reynolds hails from Milford on the prep side and is surely due for a breakout with Nebraska ONE this spring. Range and physicality are huge strengths for this outside hitter.
Schaecher is one of several exciting prospects that have been added to our rankings from River City Jrs 16 Navy. The Millard West defensive specialist is part of a strong backcourt unit, with many of her libero counterparts also being part of this latest 2025 update.
Highlights
Schroeder has already seen some of the brightest lights on Nebraska’s prep stage with Malcolm, a team that will surely remain a title threat for years to come. This opposite’s development with VCNebraska offers another bright spot for the state’s
More Freeman! Speth makes the trek from Freeman to Nebraska ONE for club competition, and the move has certainly been fruitful this year. Her Nebraska ONE 16 Lime team was one of our breakout competitors at the Presidents’ Day Classic, setting the stage for an excellent 16s race in our region.
Let’s get back to that aforementioned River City Jrs team. Thiessen’s constant influence on a variety of phases has helped elevate 16 Navy’s status among Great Plains competitors. Whether its frontcourt termination or backcourt defense, Thiessen is prepared to shine in any way possible.
Omaha’s new ENVY club gets another new entry here with Weddell representing its 16s group. It’s a testament to how much the sport is expanding in the metro, especially with Elkhorn North now finding championship-level success on the high school side. That’s where Weddell will compete this fall, too.

Banzai VBC 16 Select is enjoying a new influx of defensive talent with Williams joining the fray this year. The Gretna native’s poise and phenomenal instincts yielded a big outing for 16 Select at last month’s Presidents’ Day Classic. Williams and her team are absolutely on the rise as we hit the mid-March grind.
Highlights
Wright is one of many Elkhorn North 2025s that we’ll be keeping on our radar moving forward. On the club side, this talented setter has generated some highlight moments while competing with Nebraska Elite 16 Vision. Expect a few more big plays before the season is done.
Keep growing the list of under-the-radar setters from the Class of 2025. Young got plenty of valuable on-court experience in her underclassman days at Lexington, and that’s paying off through many more standout performances with Nebraska ONE 16 Lime. Big stages await at upcoming qualifiers.
We’re wrapping up with a player that knows how to excel on the championship stage. Gaughen has been around for North Bend Central’s incredible run of athletic success, both in volleyball and hoops. Her forays with Premier Nebraska have been equally successful.
