Thiessen gets River City Jrs on the board. AAU Nationals gave us an updated look at many athletes from this club, and Thiessen was a consistent performer in Orlando. She’s primarily a right-side hitter but showed new wrinkles during postseason play. Thiessen spent time in the right-back area and was stout in first contacts across the back row. She could even attack from Zone 1 and spread 17 Red’s offense out in two-hitter rotations. Papio South will have no shortage of lineup options this year.
