We were able to see some of the best athletes from Oregon and SW Washington compete and took note of the stellar performances we saw. We will be featuring those athletes who impressed us throughout the coming weeks.
Without further ado, here are the 2025 pin hitters who had standout performances.
Hitting from the outside, Blake was an offensive weapon for the NPJ Salem 16 National team during Regionals. With a quick arm swing, an efficient approach, and impressive versatility around the court overall, Blake was a force from both pins, able to put the ball away consistently. On defense, Blake was steady, putting up excellent passes to keep her team’s offense in play.

Currently ranked as the #1 right side hitter for the class of 2025, Emerson was unsurprisingly impressive during Regionals. Emerson’s approach is quick and explosive; combined with her insane vertical, excellent timing to the ball, and ability to easily turn the ball down the line, Emerson was practically unstoppable from the right. Hill, one of the OJVA 16-1 outside hitters, has made some serious improvement over the course of the season toward becoming a true six-rotation athlete. With a hammer of an arm, great timing, and a versatile swing, Hill played super steadily during Regionals, carrying a big offensive load for her team and executing well. In the back row, Hill put up great passes on serve receive and moved around the court effortlessly to cover her team’s hitters.
Leading her CCE 16 National team to an outstanding 3rd place finish in the 16s Division at Regionals was Irvin, a six-rotation outside hitter with a lot of potential. Irvin has an impressive vertical and a quick arm swing, which proved beneficial during the tournament where she consistently put the ball away and scored for her team. Irvin is also a smart player, putting shots over the block right into openings on the court.
Oozing with athleticism, Kayfes is a stellar outside hitter who played opposite Hill for the OJVA 16-1s at Regionals. Kayfes is an incredibly versatile player and can hit from anywhere on the court; with her explosive approach and high reach on the ball, Kayfes was instrumental in her team’s great play. While she’s new to hitting on the outside, it is clear that Kayfes belongs there; it will be fun to see how she continues to grow in her play on the left side.
