2027 Players to Watch Early Season

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Freshman class of 2027 has had three weeks to establish themselves as contributors on their teams. We have seen prospects on our radar from club season step up, and players that may be less well-known are also stepping up. It's a marathon for players adjusting to practicing and playing at the high school level, and dealing with the first rowdy high school crowd screaming while you try to serve in a critical situation. Her assist totals are among the state leaders and B-E is off to a 5-0 start in league play. She is racking up digs and keeping her team in matches with her passing and defense, not just her dominating play at the net. The setter is doing work for Curtis, a state title contender in the 4A class, playing tremendous defense and holding her own in battles against teams like Puyallup, Olympia, Lake Stevens, and Lynden. Curtis has been a bit banged up and has had to rely on their depth and toughness to work through some difficult early-season matches. She has already racked up 20 dig matches this season, her ability to run through tips and off-speed shots and deliver a good pass stands out. That skill comes from good training and being able to read the situation and attacker, Lauifi makes it look easy.
