NE WI Schools Top D2 Rankings

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Division 2 volleyball is incredibly competitive, and the talent is spread across the state. The top three ranked schools are all from the northeastern part of the state. The competition is tight, and these top-ranked teams in Division 2 are establishing themselves time and time again. Here are the some of the top-ranked schools out of the NE part of the state. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Xavier High School </h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This Xavier team won the state championship last year and is hungry to do it again. They only have two losses this season - the first is to the reigning state champs for Division 1, DSHA, and the second is to the reigning state runner-ups in Division 1, Oconomowoc. Both matches went to three sets. They have taken on and beaten some of the top Division 1 schools in the state, including Appleton North, Arrowhead, and Hamilton. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>What makes them so lethal is the depth of their roster and the offensive spread that they have. Senior outside hitter Halley Vande Hey and junior outside hitter [player_tooltip player_id='178224' first='Annika' last='Kowalski'] are both having great seasons. Middle hitter [player_tooltip player_id='122526' first='Olivia' last='Neumann'] is currently hitting 0.361, and [player_tooltip player_id='151738' first='Mattea' last='Kiepert'] is not far behind her at 0.333. [player_tooltip player_id='178352' first='Madison' last='Daley'] is also a key factor on offense. [player_tooltip player_id='122583' first='Izabelle' last='Shea'] is an absolute stud in the back row on both serve receive and defense, and [player_tooltip player_id='144816' first='Mariah' last='Potter'] runs the offense. This team has amazing chemistry on the court and always works toward the same goal. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Fox Valley Lutheran</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Fox Valley Lutheran is another very talented team from the Appleton area. They are undefeated in conference play and have had a dominant season, only dropping six matches so far. Two of those matches were to Xavier. This team has a great balance of younger and more experienced talent, which creates great balance on the team. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Sophomore libero [player_tooltip player_id='249681' first='Riley' last='Schmitz'] is electric and energetic on the court. She picks up great balls in coverage and on defense. The Foxes have two junior setters, [player_tooltip player_id='178238' first='Ava' last='Patchett'] and Molly Bixby, who run a very balanced offense. Senior middle hitter [player_tooltip player_id='122527' first='Emma' last='Nilson'] is hitting 0.381, and senior pin hitter [player_tooltip player_id='122532' first='Annalise' last='Patchett'] is averaging 3.5 kills per set. Sophomore pin hitter Brianna Stewart is an up-and-coming player who is having an impact on offense as well. This team has numerous contributors on offense and defense and is impressive everywhere they go this season. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Luxemburg-Casco </h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Luxemburg-Casco has several young athletes who are dominating this season. Freshman outside hitter [player_tooltip player_id='459898' first='Aubrey' last='Frey'] leads the team in kills, service receptions, and kills per set. Sophomore setter [player_tooltip player_id='284079' first='Alayna' last='Deprez'] also contributes in a huge way, leading the team in aces and assists. Seniors [player_tooltip player_id='211473' first='Peyton' last='Kaminski'] and [player_tooltip player_id='211472' first='Brooke' last='Van De Hei'] are both dominating on defense and in serve receive. Both Payton and Brooke have been huge huge factors for Luxemburg-Casco this season. Middle hitters Miranda Schmidt and [player_tooltip player_id='229533' first='Isabella' last='Vander Velden'] are lethal on the attack and are incredibly efficient out of the middle. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
