Some of the players here will have the chance to go deep into the postseason, and some others who have given their all may see their careers end with the regular season. The returning Mid Columbia Conference player of the year has her Kamiakin Braves positioned at the top of the league with an undefeated record. Dolven wins games, period, and her squad this year at Kamiakin is buzz-sawing through the MCC. Dolven runs down the second ball without fail and gets herself into position to deliver a well-located set, and she is always willing to get on the floor to pick up a tip or hard swing. Kamiakin is in search of a state trophy this season and Dolven is the leader of an experienced group as the playoffs near.

Lake Washington registered a huge victory 5 sets over Liberty this week, and Chang delivered a season-high 8 aces and 46 assists. The athletic Chang is headed to Central Washington next season and has been effective as a 5-1 setter for the Kangs- including attacking in the front row with both right and left hands. Lake Washington is 12-2 overall and on top of the Kingco 3A with two league games left to play.
Semprimoznik has committed to Eastern Oregon, and the Freeman standout continues to post big numbers and tally wins. She recently delivered 39 assists in a 3-set win over Deer Park, and the Scotties record is 13-3, with their only losses in non-league to Mead, Gonzaga Prep, and Chelan on the road. Semprimoznik is a fearless player who is always willing to reverse the flow or hit a twisting float serve into the corner.

The Biola commit is integral to Lynden making a run at Columbia River and the rest of the 2A field at the state tournament. Rice is dynamic and runs a 5-1 with great command. She can put up a solid block and hammer down an overpass, all while being fundamentally sound with her setting. Rice serves tough and has the strength to push the ball quickly to the pin for her big-time attackers.
Saldana has been a rock-steady performer for Stadium, a four-year player who has had to jump in as an attacker as well as a setter. This season Saldana dished out 40 assists in a win over Bonney Lake, showing her ever-present hustle and hard work while also dialing up 6 aces. Her best volleyball is still in front of her, Saldana is a terrific team mate and consistently makes the players around her better.

Mccoy is running an excellent tempo offense that takes advantage of the strong group of Columbia River attackers, Her defense is outstanding and athletic, Mccoy has the toughness to hang in against a crushed attack or jump all over a tip and better the ball for her team. She has shown a crafty ability to pick up kills at the net with a push to the corner or a quick flip over her shoulder that finds an open spot in the defense.
Katelyn Eichert Katelyn Eichert 5’8″ | S Lake Stevens | 2024 State WA has pushed past 2000 assists for her career and the Lake Stevens setter has been consistent, accurate, and a winner for the Vikings. She is setting the pipe, keeping balls (and herself!) out of the net when passes are tight, all while leading Lake Stevens during a competitive schedule. The Vikings have faced the gauntlet out of conference, which should serve them well as the playoffs begin for the State Tournament berths.

Recently committed to Seattle University, Jones has good size at 5’9, and great body control when she has to get creative with her setting, Jones can elevate off one foot and push a set to the outside and is willing to throw a long back set when she has a good matchup on the right side. Her jump float has a hard dive to the right and defenders have trouble handling it cleanly.
Wilson has been a steady force for Mead, getting to the second ball and giving her young group of attackers well-located sets to swing on. The 5’11 lefty is attacking over .300 and leads the team in aces with 30 while racking up 621 assists, 3rd in the state. Mead has improved from game 1 to this point of the season and is again a legitimate contender for the 3A title.
