Abby Haus Abby Haus 6’1″ | RS Sartell | 2024 State MN of Sartell-St. Stephen stepped up in a 3-1 victory over Sauk Rapids-Rice by scores of 22-25, 25-14, 25-17, 25-21.
Haus delivered 19 kills, 21 digs, and 13 serve receptions. She has a strong senior season going overall with 219 kills, 28 service aces, 28 total blocks, and 202 digs.
Amid her solid career numbers, Haus could hit 500 kills later season. She currently has 463 career kills.
Haus hits with authority when going for kill as the ball looks like it was shot out of a cannon. Her velocity on kill attempts makes it extremely difficult for the opposition to make a play on the ball.
Ava Athman Ava Athman 5’9″ | MB Sauk Rapids | 2024 State MN of Sauk Rapids-Rice had a solid showing despite her team’s 3-1 loss to Sartell-St. Stepehn.
Athman posted 15 kills, two total blocks, nine digs, and 18 serve receptions. Overall, Athman has 216 kills, 11 service aces, 36 blocks, and 120 digs this year.
She hit milestones of 600 kills and 400 digs for her career earlier this season. Athman also surpassed 100 career blocks as a junior, and she has 141 total for her career.
A force in the middle, Athman moves very well around the net and can deliver kills whether right by the net or further back. She has good velocity on her kill attempts.
Cecelia Plasch Cecelia Plasch 5’8″ | OH Cretin-Derham Hall | 2024 State MN had a solid showing for Cretin-Derham Hall in a 3-0 loss to Stillwater, 25-14, 25-8, 25-23.
Plasch led the Raiders with nine digs, and she had 19 serve receptions. Overall, Plasch has 104 digs this season, and she’s closing in on 200 career digs. She has 182 digs for her prep career through Tuesday.
Besides digs, Plasch has 30 kills, four total blocks, and 23 service aces in 43 sets this season. Plasch could easily 100 career kills later this season as she has 84 at the moment.
She brings versatility to the table at 5-foot-7 where she can play either outside hitter or defensive specialist. Plasch has played both in club with Minnesota One Volleyball.
Anoka’s Logan Brent Logan Brent 5’8″ | OH Anoka | 2024 State MN posted 17 kills and nine digs in a 3-0 sweep of Robbinsdale Armstrong, 25-12, 25-10, 25-20.
Brent has 183 kills, 16 service aces, eight total blocks, 152 digs, and 191 serve receptions this season. She’s currently chasing the 400-kill and 400-dig career mark.
It’s no surprise she’s chasing such numbers in the kill department with her powerful delivery, and she has the versatility to play well on either side of the court. She moves really well on the court, which makes her effective on defense and thus racking up digs.
Ally Tanner Ally Tanner 5’8″ | DS/L Anoka | 2024 State MN tallied 10 digs for Anoka in 3-0 sweep against Robbinsdale Armstrong.
Tanner recently crossed the 600-dig mark for her career. She has 166 for the season as she’s on pace for three-consecutive seasons with more than 200 digs.
Besides being an excellent defensive specialist/libero, Tanner excels on serves. She has 42 service aces this season at a 21.6% clip for serves, which is a career best.
With Tanner’s height at 5-foot-8, she can make plays near the net with kills. She has excellent reach and power on her kill attempts, which makes it tough for opposing teams.
Brielle Ogdahl Brielle Ogdahl 5’11” | OH Willmar | 2026 State MN stepped up for Wilmar in a 3-1 win over New London-Spicer, 21-25, 25-20, 25-17, 25-17.
Ogdahl posted 16 kills, two service aces, a block, 12 digs, and 17 serve receptions. For the season, she has 179 kills, 16 service aces, 11 blocks, and 132 digs.
She’s well on pace to 300 career kills and 200 career digs this season. Ogdahl has 270 career kills and 182 career digs.
At 5-foot-11, Ogdahl doesn’t need to jump much to launch the ball over the next, and she has excellent reach. She moves well, and she attacks the ball rapidly on kill attempts.
