Emphasizing academics remains crucial. While a prospect’s volleyball journey on the court will eventually conclude, the game of life continues endlessly. At PrepDig, we steadfastly believe in celebrating our prospects’ academic accomplishments alongside their athletic abilities. This feature specifically highlights some of the Expo’s prospects who disclosed a GPA of 4.0 or higher. Their steadfast commitment as student-athletes merits genuine admiration, and we enthusiastically celebrate their accomplishments.
Alexis Esparza, 2025: 5’6″ Outside for Patriot High and Pipeline 17 AdidasAlexis doesn’t just dominate the court, thwarting balls from hitting the ground; she also excels in maintaining top-notch grades, ensuring to keep those up as well. Her athleticism and remarkable volleyball intelligence are nurtured by her dedication to off-court academics. A fierce competitor displaying resilience on the court, Alexis pours her full effort into her studies. With aspirations set on Point Loma Nazarene University, Hawaii, and Fresno State, Alexis embodies a driven student-athlete aiming for success both in volleyball and academics.

Both on and off the court, Meaalofa puts in relentless effort. Her dedication to her sport is matched by her resilience and hard work in the classroom. With ambitions aimed at elevating her game, Meaalofa sets her sights on USC, BYU, and Hawaii, aspiring to reach new heights in her academic and athletic journey.

Ila Rose, 2026: 5’9″ for Outside for Centennial High School for Bakersfield Judy-16Ila’s athletic prowess ensures her name stands out in PrepDig articles, yet it’s crucial to recognize her exceptional dedication as a student-athlete. Within school, she actively participates in ASB and multiple clubs like Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Project Jesus, all while upholding a stellar 4.0 GPA. Beyond her academic commitments, Ila hits the gym at 4 am to manage her schedule effectively. Her life mantra, “work hard, be kind, and above all, be a good friend,” reflects not just her personal philosophy but also her approach on the court to excel as a teammate. The University of Colorado, Boulder, Northern Arizona University, or San Diego State University would be fortunate to have her as part of their roster.

Lucky Fasavalu, 2027: 5’8″ Outside for Lakewood High School and Mizuno Long BeachLucky is a huge presence both on the court and in the classroom. As a high-flying outside hitter, she maintains an impressive GPA, showcasing her academic talents while navigating transitions from Texas to California. Being a military child, Lucky has traversed the globe, immersing herself in different club volleyball teams every two years—a life journey that few experience. However, Lucky’s resilience is rooted in a steadfast foundation of faith and family.With eloquence, Lucky acknowledges, “God has blessed me with this talent, and I’ll forever be indebted to him. My character and values are indebted to my AIGA (family).” She carries herself with a sense of permanence, stating, “You may not know me when I walk in, but you’ll remember me when I’m gone!” Dreaming big, Lucky aspires to carve her own path at esteemed institutions like USC, Oregon, or Nebraska.
