A 6-foot plus attacker may suddenly click as a passer, a libero takes over passing half the back row, and some players carry teams to state titles- all reasons players may move up.
Here is a look at several of the stock riders in the 2025 rankings update.
Dent has tremendous height and length at the pin, and has recently verbally committed to Saint Mary’s in the West Coast Conference. The rise up to the number #6 overall ranking is a reflection of her improvement as an attacker and defender. Dent is solidifying her six-rotation play, and at 6-foot-two she will be able to stay on the court to hammer balls on the pin and from the pipe.
Williams has a huge upside, and the junior from Capital High School just kept getting better this season. She has shot up to 6-foot three and can play either the middle or outside, giving her the length and versatility programs love to have. Williams is now the 20th ranked overall player in the class of 2025 Prep Dig Washington rankings.
The Eastside Catholic pin progressed in her overall game, adding tough defense in the middle back and a strong BIC attack to go with her terminal arm on the outside. Watching Merritt work in person verified her new #32 overall ranking. At a solid 6’1 with good movement and athleticism, she has the ability to impact a college program as a six-rotation outside.
Highlights
Tyler shot up the rankings after a breakout year for the Mead Panthers. The 2025 outside captured All-League and All-State honors, and was at her best in big matches and moments for the Panthers. As a sophomore Tyler averaged right around 15 attempts a match, that soared to over 40 at times in her junior campaign. She was indispensable as a six-rotation outside, plying well in serve receive and pressuring defenses with her own accurate jump float serve.
Wyatt was able to show her versatility with Olympia this season, serving as a setter and attacker and playing an important role in the Bears deep run at the state tournament. The 2025 prospect was a tough server, at over 92% with more aces than errors and showed the ability to check in and contribute at a consistent level when called upon.
Kora is a dynamo at the libero spot, the Kentwood junior has endless energy and is a smooth operator who can change her platform to keep her setter running an in system offense. The 2025 handled tough swings from several of the heaviest hitters in the state during matches this year, competing hard against big names from teams like Olympia, Tahoma and Mt. Rainier just to name a few. Kora is now the #73 overall player in the rankings.

Ava Durgan Ava Durgan 6'3" | MB Mead | 2025 State WA -Mead. The #4 overall player and University of San Diego commit climbed into the top 5 after a 3A Player of the Year performance and state title with the Panthers. She was unstoppable running the quick tempo all year.
Georgia Terrell Georgia Terrell 5'11" | OH Lake Washington | 2025 State WA – Lake Washington. Terrell moves up to #23 after a season of ripping fearless swings for Lake Washington from the pins and the pipe.
Stella Petersen Stella Petersen 5'9" | OH Manson | 2025 State WA -Manson. The player of the year for Manson in 2B, Petersen takes all the crucial swings and plays tremendous defense. The 5’9 junior is a terrific beach player and will be with the 17U CRU Max Performance team this club season.
Madelyn Benjamin Madelyn Benjamin 6'3" | MB Cedarcrest | 2025 State WA -Cedarcrest. The 6’3 MB is still just scratching the surface of her game, defensively she shut down opposing middles at times this season.
Keilee Eskelsen Keilee Eskelsen 5'11" | OH Central Valley | 2025 State WA – Ridgeline. The move of Eskelsen to OH from the middle paid off as a mid-season run for Central Valley nearly landed the Bears in the State Tournament. Esckelsen has a consistent arm swing and is springy on the pin.
