From Maddie: “Muna has taken tremendous steps forward in terms of skills and her leadership! Muna is one of the lead voices on the team, from giving a pregame speech to pulling us in during the match to reset. She leads the defense and serve-receive with a solid platform. She puts up dimes that make for seamless plays and kills.”

Kora is fundamentally sound as a passer and its easy to see she has had quality training that she incorporates into her game at the libero spot. She was covering massive amounts of ground in Seattle, and kept giving her PSVBA team chances to score in transition after a great up.

Kora and her PSVBA 17 Legacy squad had a terrific run at the 2nd round of the Power League. After a 2-1 record in play they confidently rolled into a 2 set victory in the crossover match. The only loss of the day was in 3, 13-15 to SNVF 18 Secret. Kora is always going to give her setters an opportunity, she leaves the ball high when is should be, and she does a nice job keeping the pass off the net. She is strong through her hands and upper body, handling chest high shots effectively.

Kora is a dynamo at the libero spot, the Kentwood junior has endless energy and is a smooth operator who can change her platform to keep her setter running an in system offense. The 2025 handled tough swings from several of the heaviest hitters in the state during matches this year, competing hard against big names from teams like Olympia, Tahoma and Mt. Rainier just to name a few. Kora is now the #73 overall player in the rankings.

Kora has a little more length than some liberos, and she puts it to use getting to balls that are headed for the corner, or tips that seem like they will score. The sophomore from Kentwood can throw up two hands to get a piece of a shot over her head, then lay out on the flat run to cover a roll or ball off the block. PSVBA 16 Legacy has depended on her heavily for solid serve receive and accurate passing, Kora has delivered all season.

The Libero from PSVBA 16 Legacy does an awesome job of reading the attacker and her blockers. She finds the right spot to be, sets her feet and has great reactions o a swing or a change of pace attack. Her platform is consistent in serve receive, she is strong and plays balls overhand with ease. Kora will anticipate and make plays on shots that might score against another defender!

A rising sophomore from Kentwood, Kora posted some monster dig numbers. One of the best was a 25-dig effort versus Bellarmine Prep, she showed off two things that a libero needs. Anticipation and athleticism, reading the setter dump and making saves on swings outside of her body. Defensively she will be a big key for the Legacy team.
