Peri Linterman Peri Linterman 6'3" | MB Riverbend | 2025 State VA middle (Riverbend) 18 to 8 – She stands 6’3″and brings some athleticism to the middle position. Only two teams were able to beat Riverbend this season, Riverside (twice) and Hidden Valley. While they took down the defending champions from last year, Midlothian in the first round of the State championships, they were eliminated in the semi-finals by Riverside. Peri clearly stood out as their biggest offensive contributor. When she got set the ball went down. The Commonwealth District voted her to their first team while the Class 5d Region voted her to their second team. Peri has committed to James Madison University.

Caitlin Johnson Caitlin Johnson 6'5" | MB Freedom | 2025 State VA middle (Freedom) 28 to 17 – At 6’5″ Caitlin fills the middle position with length. Opponent’s hitters are aware of her presence when she blocks in the front row. She earned a spot on the Cedar Run District first team as well as the Class 6B Regional second team. Freedom lost to Forest Park in the regionals. Her approach jump reaches 10’2″. A little more work on her arm swing over the summer will allow her to mash with more power. Caitlin has committed to Santa Clara.

Evelyn Jurden Evelyn Jurden 6'2" | RS West Springfield | 2025 State VA right side (West Springfield/Virginia Elite) 33 to 18 – During the state playoffs Evelyn was a one person wrecking crew for the Spartans. At 6’1″ she hammered the ball front row and back row. She played the right side but played all six rotation. During her early years she rostered as a setter, but those days appear to be in the past. The Patriot District voted her player of the year while she also earned a selection on the Class 6 State first team. Her approach jump reaches 9’8″. Evelyn has committed to the University of New Hampshire.
Sarah Jeremias Sarah Jeremias 5'11" | OH Holy Cross | 2025 State VA outside (Holy Cross/Metro) 79 to 21- Sarah transferred from Good Counsel to Holy Cross, going from a bench player to a starter on the left side. Holy Cross benefited from the transfer. Her play from the left side proved critical for the Tartans to win the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference (WCAC) championship. Sarah contributed to the back row with her passing and exemplary defense. She also provided offense from the back row with explosive bics. Listed at 5’11” Sarah may not carry the height to impact Division I in the front row. However, no one can discount her contributions to the offense. She finished second to Emerson Sellman Emerson Sellman 6'4" | OH Academy of Holy Cross | 2024 State #5 Nation VA in kills, led the team in digs and brought a wicked serve to the court (third in aces).

Baylee Doolan Baylee Doolan 5'8" | OH North Hagerstown | 2025 State VA outside (North Hagerstown) 40 to 23 – Baylee is a smaller outside at 5’8″ but she hits the ball high, many times going over a smaller right side block. She has been instrumental in North Hagerstown winning two consecutive Class 3 Maryland State championships. She and her younger sister Caydence are the two left side hitters. Last year playing for Metro she mainly contributed in the back row, but when she played front row she was extremely effective. Baylee has committed to Navy.
Rowan Johnson Rowan Johnson 6'1" | MB Holy Cross (MD) | 2025 State MD middle (Holy Cross/Metro) 66 to 37 – Another Holy Cross player who helped give the Tartans a WCAC championship. Rowan sealed up the middle with her 6’1″ frame, finishing third on the team in blocks. She also contributed offensively finishing third on the team in kills with a .395 kill percentage. When she hits the ball it usually finds the floor.
Kaitlyn Demitz Kaitlyn Demitz 5'11" | RS Dominion | 2025 State VA right side (Dominion) 56 to 40 – Kaitlyn played a dominant right side that earned her a spot on the Dulles District first team. She led her team in kills and finished second in blocks. Kaitlyn can dominate the game Kaitlyn stands close to six feet so she carries some length on the right side and can block middle as well.
Aubrey Loughlin Aubrey Loughlin 6'0" | MB James Madison | 2025 State VA middle (Madison) 67 to 41 – Aubrey gave Madison some length in the middle at 6’0″. Her offense and ability to put up a good block advanced the Warhawks to the semi-finals in the State championship. Her improvement in play gave the team three quality players that they could rotate between the right side and middle if they wanted to add more length at the net. Aubrey did not start seriously playing volleyball until her frosh season in high school. Still some upside in her game as she gets more repetitions.

Alexandra Moore Alexandra Moore 6'2" | MB Virginia Academy | 2025 State VA middle (Virginia Academy) 116 to 46 – Compared to what I saw the previous year she greatly improved her game. Or I missed something. At that time her twin sister Kristen showed all the talent. This past season Alex showed she could play the middle using her 6’2″ height to create a wall in the front row. She finished second to her sister in blocks and was fourth in kills.

Anne Fielding Croft Anne Fielding Croft 5'9" | S St. Catherine's | 2025 State VA setter (St. Catherines) 77 to 47 – Anne ran the offense for Catholic, running a 5/1. Her ability to create a diversity of sets allowed the Saints to reach the semi-finals in the VISAA state championship. While her height is listed at 5’9″ she was able to reach high enough over the net to finish second on the team in blocks.
Emily Ryder Emily Ryder 5'10" | RS Smithsburg | 2025 State VA right side (Smithsburg) 68 to 58 – Emily Rider was the big gun for Smithsburg leading them from the right side. Smithsburg lost in the final of the Maryland Class 1 state championship, taking Clear View to five sets.

Daisy Pentorn Daisy Pentorn 5'9" | S Arundel | 2025 State VA setter (Arundel) 86 to 59 – Daisy Pentorn Daisy Pentorn 5'9" | S Arundel | 2025 State VA set a 5/1 for Arundel. She set them to an undefeated season until they lost in the finals of the Maryland Class 3 state championship to North Hagerstown. Teams have a tendency to win where she sets.
Kadi Pynchon Kadi Pynchon 5'6" | DS/L Flint Hill | 2025 State VA libero (Flint Hill/Virginia Elite) 87 to 63 – When Evie Huang Evie Huang 5'6" | DS/L Flint Hill | 2026 State VA was nursing an injury the Huskers were able to turn to Kadi to fill the libero spot until Evie got healthy. Flint Hill won the VISAA State championship because of the strong back row play of Kadi. Their offense always seemed to be in system.

Gabrielle Washington Gabrielle Washington 6'2" | MB Glenelg Country School | 2025 State VA middle (Glenelg Count/Maryland Jrs) 122 to 64 – She held her own at a Metro practice. She stands 6’2″ and appears to be able to hit either middle or outside. This year she will be playing for Maryland Jrs. where the playing opportunities may be greater.

Kyla Harris Kyla Harris 6'1" | MB Bullis | 2024 State VA middle (Bullis/Metro) 125 to 70 – At 6’1″ she brings some height to the net. Kyla can play either middle or right side. She played for Paramount last year but it appears she will be playing for Metro this club season. When the top clubs in the area want you must be doing something right.
Shiraz Benyoucef Shiraz Benyoucef 5'8" | DS/L Georgetown Day | 2025 State VA (Georgetown Day/Virginia Elite) – 130 to 96 – For Virginia Elite last club season she played outside. Some would consider her 5’8″ height short for the front row. This past season she switched to the libero role for Georgetown Day. It seemed to work out. Her back row play led the Mighty Hoppers to their second consecutive championship.
