The club season is about to get rolling, and the Class of 2026 will surely be under the microscope this year. Our Nebraska rankings update comes at a good time with plenty of stock risers in the mix. Many of those athletes will be can’t-miss club talents preparing to compete on the national stage.
So, let’s identify a few of our latest stock risers who will be in the club spotlight over the next several months.
Liebsack made a dramatic rise in our latest 2026 update. The numbers justify it. Bennington’s star sophomore put down nearly five kills per set while hitting almost 0.300 as an outside hitter. This was done as Liebsack and the Badgers competed against one of the most stacked Class B fields in recent memory. Liebsack’s meteoric rise was something to behold, and she has now risen up to the Premier Nebraska 16 Gold roster. You’ll want to keep an eye on this one.

VCNebraska doesn’t just pull in talent from the Capital City. Haase will compete with VCN 16 Elite after her extraordinary sophomore campaign with Exeter-Milligan/Friend. This new consolidated school didn’t take long to find its new leader, as Haase posted 3.5 kills per set to lead the Bobcats. Not only will Haase be influential as a scorer for VCN, but her backcourt skills will keep developing in 2024, too.

During the 2023 club season, Backemeyer showed us she was ready to take the next step. That early surge eventually led to an impactful high school season with Elmwood-Murdock. The high-flying middle blocker was her team’s #2 scorer and a constant source of positive energy in the state tournament. Backemeyer’s trendsetting presence will persist
Rowe garnered recent mention for her high school accomplishments with Columbus Lakeview, but the narrative is about to evolve with VCNebraska . The central Nebraska standout is preparing to compete with VCN’s top 16s group. This comes after Rowe racked up 3.2 kills per set on a 0.285 clip. It’s a lot of work for a middle blocker, but Rowe has clearly embraced the role. It’s the perfect prelude to new challenges in 2024.
Hazzard has been impressed us in multiple Prep Dig showcases, and her club success with VCNebraska has been the driving force for her spot in the rankings. We always enjoy watching setters who aren’t afraid to take risks, and Hazzard fits the bill. The upcoming club season will be an important barometer as we evaluate where Hazzard stands in a stacked class of 2026 setters.

South Central NE is getting a shoutout here. It’s hard not to like what this club is building, particularly after last year’s 15s group notched a third-place finish at GJNC. Andel rejoins the fray after compiling over two kills per set last fall with David City–a school that boasts a few high-volume scorers. That high-level prep experience should allow Andel to jump right into 2024 and help South Central NE reach new heights yet again.
River City Jrs is bringing in one of Nebraska’s most statistically productive liberos from the 2023 fall season. Myers amassed head-spinning numbers as Millard South’s sophomore libero, helping the Patriots spar with some of Class A’s best. We knew Myers had a knack for floor defense after seeing her compete at Prep Dig showcases, but her 2023 high school season was on another level. Time to see how that translates to the spring grind with River City.
It didn’t take long for Rogokos to place herself on our radar in last year’s club season. She helped Premier Nebraska 15 Black secure a GJNC bid at the Northern Lights Qualifier, and that’s just part of the story. Rogokos has proven that she can shoulder a true six-rotation role as an opposite–a rare niche in club volleyball. We’ll see if that same all-around prowess materializes in 2024.

The pipeline between DC West and Nebraska Elite keeps getting stronger. North is one of several Falcons who have represented Elite over the past few years, and she has even played some club beach volleyball, too. A well-rounded skillset is required for a beach-indoor double-dip, and North has shown the versatility necessary to be successful.
Powell goes from the small-town prep scene to Nebraska Juniors on the club side. She seized Malcolm’s starting setter role last fall and brought the Clippers right back to the postseason. Powell’s willingness to lead a volleyball powerhouse will have her prepared for whatever challenges her Nebraska Juniors squad might face. This is a club that knows how to draw some of the state’s best under-the-radar gems.
