Texas Team Spotlight Vol 2

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>We are one month and a half into the club season and we have seen a lot of volleyball already.&nbsp; Teams are solidifying their lineups to find the right mix to get into Qualifier season.&nbsp; Here are some teams and players who definitely are turning heads due to their play.&nbsp; This series will highlight some players who we have seen in person and we are adding to our list to watch this season.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><u>Excel 15 National Red</u></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:image {"align":"right","id":504957,"width":"151px","height":"auto","sizeSlug":"large","linkDestination":"none"} --> <figure class="wp-block-image alignright size-large is-resized"><img src="https://prepdig.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/5/2024/01/Excel-15-National-Red.jpg?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-504957" style="width:151px;height:auto" /></figure> <!-- /wp:image --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Setter Charlotte Cavin did a fantastic job of moving the ball around to all of her hitters.&nbsp; She was solid at running the middle and also feeding Kingston Auvaa.&nbsp; Speaking of Kingston, the lefty ran middle attacks out of certain rotations from serve receive.&nbsp; Super lengthy outside hitter [player_tooltip player_id='430133' first='Natalie' last='Norton'] was doing it all on the court for this squad.&nbsp; She played all six rotations and passed the ball extremely well.&nbsp; Her attacking is elite to say the least.&nbsp; Not many in this age group can match up with her height at the net and she can bring the thunder from the left.&nbsp; In my opinion, she is one of the top offensive weapons for Excel and they will run a lot though her.&nbsp; [player_tooltip player_id='433661' first='Olivia' last='Herron'] is another big target for her setters to feed.&nbsp; She adds a lot of length and power at the net for this team on the pins.&nbsp; [player_tooltip player_id='359399' first='Kamryn' last='Mullican'] played all the way around also and provided another solid option for this team to score with.&nbsp; There are a lot of options for this team to go far this season.&nbsp; I have a feeling that we have not seen their best work yet and they will be a tough out for anyone.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><u>Houston Skyline 15 Royal</u></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:image {"align":"right","id":504961,"width":"156px","height":"auto","sizeSlug":"large","linkDestination":"none"} --> <figure class="wp-block-image alignright size-large is-resized"><img src="https://prepdig.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/5/2024/01/Houston-Skyline-15-Royal.jpg?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-504961" style="width:156px;height:auto" /></figure> <!-- /wp:image --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This team is another special top team from this wonderful club.&nbsp; They have a lot of athleticism all around their roster.&nbsp; [player_tooltip player_id='534395' first='Jacey' last='Carroll'] can unleash a lot of power on the ball whenever she wants to.&nbsp; She can run solid routes at any tempo and gets completely on top of the ball in order to score.&nbsp; Libero [player_tooltip player_id='534335' first='Pearson' last='Noone'] has total control over every part of her body while playing in the back row.&nbsp; [player_tooltip player_id='534332' first='Tinsley' last='Welker-Brown'] can push the ball to both pins with a lot of power in her upper body.&nbsp; Her shoot sets are very repeatable as she delivers them to her middles.&nbsp; Outside hitter [player_tooltip player_id='534384' first='Jordan' last='Morrow'] is one of the best hitters in her age group and shows that with every swing she makes.&nbsp; It doesn't matter where she is on the court as she will unleash it at any time.&nbsp; Lefty [player_tooltip player_id='534319' first='Aspen' last='Brown'] provides some solid attacking on the right side also.&nbsp; She is a weapon who can contact the ball at the peak of her reach and that makes it hard to slow her down.&nbsp; Setter [player_tooltip player_id='443036' first='Olivia' last='Landahl'] has a super fast release with the ball, especially to the right side.&nbsp; It is a very special weapon for this team to exploit.&nbsp; I think when this team puts it all together, they will be very difficult to stop in the Open level.&nbsp; Give them a look and you will see what I see from them.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>As always stay tuned for more articles on your favorite athletes.&nbsp;
