March is stacked with qualifiers, local tournaments and assorted Power Leagues for players to continue their rise individually and stack wins with their teams. Here are several pins that have already notched solid work early in the 2024 club season.
The Freeman junior is a Grand Canyon commit, and the 5’10” OH is dialing in the finer points of her game. An explosive athlete who touches ten-feet, Reed is always a threat to bounce a ball on a fast tempo set, and has added in a roll shot that is tough to defend. Her attack out of the pipe is continuing to evolve, and she is aggressive as a blocker. Her Renovators 18-Kari squad runs a fast and efficient offense guided by San Diego bound setter Kylee Munday from Post Falls, Idaho. Reed plays determined defense as a six-rotation outside and has proven increasingly solid in serve receive.
The 5’10” Grieser looks confident and explosive on the right side for NPJ 17 Seattle National. Her arm swing is packing a punch, the North Creek Jaguar junior snaps off shots smartly down the line and to the angle. Grieser has played every spot along the net, and that versatility shows when NPJ swings her to the outside or down the middle for an attack. Her best volleyball is still ahead of her, and Grieser’s footwork is getting her to all the right spots to put her best swing on every attempt.

The 5’9″ 2025 prospect is a terrific ball control six-rotation OH with an excellent mix of attacks in her bag. Skagen plays her school ball at Kentwood, and was a first team all NPSL selection. Playing in the middle back, Skagen is the rock in the NPJ defense. She flows easily to the corners covering shots, and eventually most teams find another player to serve. Skagen is a low error player, even when she is attacking out of system, giving her team a chance to tun a rally around and score.

A towering presence at the net, Holstrum has and continues to be a problem for opposing attackers. PSVBA is moving the Olympia junior around to create favorable matchups for her offensively, and allowing her to put up that huge block against teams best offensive players. Holstrum was working hard to get off the net in transition at the PSR Power League- PSVBA needs her to be an terminal option to maximize their scoring potential.
Hadley is a powerful OH who is not afraid to challenge the block, and the Arlington 2025 prospect takes a big approach to generate strong chances as a hitter. We like her improvement as a scorer this season, she is making smart choices with off-speed shots for her Seattle Juniors 17 squad, and the team posted some tough victories over quality competition at the Las Vegas Classic. At 5’11” Hadley has the length to compete against a big block, and she is willing to work hard on her own defense and blocking to help her team.
Nowak is a 2025 playing her club ball for WVBA 17 Adidas. The outside hitter from Glacier Peak is a technician in serve receive who rips it from the pipe and the outside in between dropping absolute dimes to her setters. Nowak is physically strong, and serves with pace or a big swing from a hitter are not going to get through her platform. She obviously has focus and attention to detail when she plays, her passing is precise, she takes backrow swings to the corners and works to get out from behind the block defensively. An excellent all-around player!

Bennett caught our eye playing for Excel NW 18 Lux, the Evergreen junior can rip a big kill from either pin and is playing consistently as a right side in part of the team’s 6-2 attack. She drilled kills down the line at the Las Vegas Classic, including some terrific swings against AZ Rev North 18. She has a good block touch for her 5’8″ height, attackers had to make adjustments resulting in errors and off-speed shots that her team was able to capitalize on. Bennett has the enthusiasm and communication you look for on the court, she is active and encourages her teammates.
