Up now, pins (pt. 3)!
Marine, an outside hitter for Aspire NW 16-1, combines an explosive approach with a hammer of an arm to bury the ball deep into the court. Although the pin hitter is undersized, she is nevertheless very effective, using her solid vertical to make a high contact on the ball. Marine can turn the ball down the line or put it away deep cross court effortlessly, showing her versatility as an attacker.
Hitting outside for NPJ Salem 16 National, Mathis has a versatile hitting arsenal and a quick, powerful arm swing. Mathis showcases a textbook attack, using her height and athleticism well to contact high on the ball and put it away deep into the corners of the court. Mathis is equally tough from the right side and from the pipe, showing her dynamic attacking abilities. And, she is a solid passer on serve receive and defense.
Ranked in the top 5 of outside hitters for the class of 2027, Meier is a physical player with a lot of talent from the front row. Meier is incredibly skilled at tagging the line when attacking, easily and consistently finding open court to score. The OJVA 15-1 outside hitter is also a formidable defensive player, putting up a solid block and stuffing down balls that are tight to the net.
Minnick, the #3 right side for the class of 2026 and an attacker for G3 16-1, showcases a fast arm swing from the right pin and a big block on defense. The left-handed attacker has a whip of an arm and uses her powerful swing to contact high on the ball, putting it away down the line and sharp cross court with ease. Standing at 6’1”, Minnick also presses over the net well when blocking.
Mitchell, a pin hitter for NPJ Salem 17 National, is a physical player with a heavy hammer of an arm. Although Mitchell can put the ball away from any position in the front row, she is especially lethal from the right side, where she uses her quick arm swing to turn the ball down the line or cross court effortlessly. Mitchell also has great court vision and can hit off speed well into openings on the court.
Highlights
Oregon State commit and #3 outside hitter for the class of 2024 Paz is a very well-rounded and versatile athlete. The Athena 18-1 attacker is a very disciplined and technical passer on serve receive and defense; she is so steady in the back row that she could be a defensive specialist. But, with her explosive approach, impressive vertical, and super fast arm swing, Paz is incredibly dominant from the front row, too.
Ross, one of the stellar six-rotation outside hitters for the NPJ Salem 16 National team and a top 5 athlete in the class of 2026, is an offensive weapon. Ross has an aggressive approach and a super heavy arm, both of which she uses to put the ball away. Ross is also a dynamic attacker and can hit powerfully from anywhere on the court. From middle back, Ross is a quick, reactive defensive player, putting up great touches.
