<p>This past weekend was the culminating tournament for the CEVA season and PrepDig was lucky enough to be in attendance! We had a chance to catch some stellar volleyball and took note of players that impressed. </p>

<p>While it was not possible to watch every team and athlete, we were able to see a ton of athletes in action, placing priority on teams playing in Open and in the top 10 of the 16U division. </p>

Standing at 6'1” and with an impressive vertical, Scholl puts up a massive block that proved hard to hit against. Although really a setter, Mairs was needed as an attacker and showed her impressive offensive play. Mairs took some crazy swings and made many electrifying plays to push her team to a win against NPJ Salem 16-1 National to advance on Sunday. Mitchell has a heavy arm and, as a beach player, utilizes her great court vision and shot arsenal well. Freeman has a nasty float serve, which we watched her use to notch several aces in a row. At Regionals, Rasmussen showcased her versatility. A leftie with some impressive hops, she can swing from both pins really effectively and makes smart shots to score.
