Houston Stock Up Showcase: Five Class of 2027 Players to Watch

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The club volleyball season has just ended and high school is still a couple of weeks away, which means that period of the year has arrived: it's time for the Prep Dig Showcases!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This weekend, the state of Texas will host not one, but two Stock Up events, allowing players from the classes of 2025, 2026 and 2027 to gain some valuable exposure, while also getting some reps ahead of the start of the high school season. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Houston will be the first stop of the Prep Dig Stock Up Showcases in Texas, with the Competitive Edge Sports Facility, house of famed club [program_tooltip program_id='462263' first='TAV' last='Houston'], hosting the event on Saturday, July 27, from 1:00-3:00 PM.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Players from several regions of the Lone Star State will make the trip to Houston and as we start counting the days for the event to start, let's take a look at some of them, ending our previews with the Class of 2027 prospects.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_player":["501893"],"_player_evaluations_0_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-6696fd28be3a3"} --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">Carter is an outside hitter with Klein Collins High School and the Texas Legacy club. Because of her backcourt skills, she's able to play as a libero/defensive specialist too, but she knows her way around the net, being very efficient at hitting around the block and finding ways to put the ball down. Carter is as solid as it gets with her passing and can cover a lot of ground in serve-receive and keep her team in system. She's not very tall, but plays with a lot of energy and celebrates every point scored by a teammate or herself with tremendous enthusiasm. Gromaski gets off the floor well and swings with power, working as a productive scoring option to her team. She's extremely reliable as a setter as her touch is extremely clean and she's as consistent as it gets with her locations, even when dealing with passes off the net. Landahl is also an extremely intelligent playmaker and that shows with the smart decisions she makes and with how well she runs her team's offense. Very physical, she has a strong presence at the net and stands out especially with her offense. Yendrey is set quite often and displays an extremely well-developed offensive game, being capable of hitting different sets and swinging the ball with power while avoiding the blockers. Capable of playing on the left and the right, she's a strong offensive weapon for her teams, scoring with consistency and avoiding errors. Moul uses her size and athleticism very well and has what it takes to score from anywhere on the court, but is also resourceful enough to put the ball down with finesse or smart plays.
