USAV GJNC Preview: 2026 Top Outsides (Pt. 2)

The USAV Girls Junior National Championships are fast approaching, which will take place from July 3rd through the 11th in Las Vegas, Nevada. Top teams from across the country are currently preparing to compete in hopes of representing their club and region well. Many teams from the CEVA Region were awarded bids and are eager to show the country what volleyball from the Pacific Northwest looks like!     Leading up to the tournament, PrepDig Oregon will highlight players to watch from each of the CEVA teams that received bids.    Up now, the top outsides from the class of 2026 in attendance!    Zarzana has been a primary offensive weapon for Excel NW 16-1 Lux and will be a key piece of the team's line up as they compete in the 16 Patriot division at USAV Nationals. She is fed the ball often from all over the court, and takes a big approach with an agressive snap. She also does a good job using the block to her advantage, finding holes or tooling.     Andrews will be a crucial aspect of the Athena 17-1 Gold lineup as the team takes on the 17 Liberty division at USAV Nationals. A six-rotation pin hitter, she was rarely seen off the court this season, shouldering a huge load all around. She uses her length to her advantage when attacking, contacting the ball at a high point, often swinging over opposing blockers. She also has a momentous approach and a whip of an arm with great attack range, so she proves tough to stop.     Sherby has been a consistent six-rotation force for Athena 16-1 Gold this club season and will be utilized as such at USAV Nationals as the team battles in the 16 American division. She showcases exceptional court vision, swinging, tipping, or chipping the ball to the open court to rack up a point. She is confident on serve recieve, displaying an early angle and a sound platform.     Kincaid has juggled quite a few different roles for NPJ Salem 16-1 National this club season, seen swinging from both pins, as a middle, and a defensive specialist, flexing her versatility. Her skill will be put to use as the team competes in the 16 National division at USAV Nationals. She puts up a formidable block, with disciplined eye work and a strong press, she is hungry to shut down opposing attackers. On defense, she covers a lot of court with a long reach and ability to sprawl out for the ball.     Ross has been a terminal pin hitter for NPJ Salem 16-1 National this season and will be vital to the team's success as they battle at USAV Nationals in the 16 National division. She plays with a lot of finesse and displays good court vision. She takes a big approach and uses her heavy arm to obliterate the ball all over the court. She uses the block to her advantage, swinging high hands to cause chaos for the opposing defenders.     Daniel has been an all-around contributor for Spiketown 16-1 National this club season and will shoulder a significant load as the team competes in the 16 Freedom division at USAV Nationals. With productive pass to attack footwork, she makes herself readily available to attack consistently.
