Having seen her mostly in the middle position she works well in the transition game to get off the net fast and up and available to swing. When in the air she shows ability to be able to swing with good range around net defenders. She will compete for Newark Catholic during the fall high school season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='582229' first='Avery' last='Brannon']</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>From watching and evaluating her during the reason club season two big individual assets come to mind for Brannon: 1) length and 2) high ceiling. Her best volleyball is ahead of her as she continues to develop her movement patterns, foot and arm speed, and maximize the length and reach she has. She was impressive all club season in the middle for a very good BOSS team. She is a rangy athlete with her size and length at 5'11 with good ability to swing for impact anywhere on the court. As a middle, offensively around her setter she shows good control and tools to swing for power when on time and with good space or pulling out shots and showing finesse to exploit space in the opponent's court. She has size and range to pass as well as make big contact when attacking. Her footwork in transition is fluid and she works hard early to get herself available to swing aggressively. Her ability to get her feet to the ball at the end of her approach allows her to elevate and contact on balance to use her touch point well.
